The word doula is an ancient Greek term that translates to “caregiver”
A Doula is a trained, non-medical community care worker that offers compassion and judgement-free support to folks and families through the whole spectrum of reproductive experiences.
Doulas are trained to provide physical, emotional, and educational support through your greatest joys or griefs.
Doulas are person-centered. They show up as an advocate, teammate, and companion as they navigate each client’s unique reproductive, birthing, or postpartum journey.

As a Queer and mixed-race individual, I understand first hand seeking care in a system that doesn’t accommodate diverse needs. Personally, I see the role of a Doula as someone who is committed and willing to challenge the systems of oppression, which includes the medical industrial complex. My work deeply aligns with my values. I am committed to supporting all marginalized and oppressed identities. In this house, we’re pro-autonomy, pro-LGBTQ+ rights, anti-racist, and practice cultural humility.
